Boat Rentals in Dallas-Fort Worth

DFW Wake Boat Rentals & Wakesurf Charters

If you're searching for a wake boat rental in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, you've found the right place. Three Seas Charters is North Texas's premier captain-guided wakesurf charter service — operating across every major lake in the DFW area and beyond, with a fleet of premium wake boats built specifically for the best wakes on the water.

We're not a self-drive pontoon rental. We're a concierge-level wake boat experience. Every charter comes with an experienced captain, a fully equipped premium wake boat, and everything your group needs for the best day on the water in North Texas. You just show up — we handle everything else.

Whether you're based in Frisco, Fort Worth, Southlake, Dallas, or anywhere across the metroplex, we operate on the lake nearest to you. And if you want to venture further for a more spectacular setting, we'll take you there too.

The Three Seas Difference — Why DFW Chooses Us

There's no shortage of boat rental options around Dallas-Fort Worth. Here's what separates a Three Seas charter from everything else:

We specialize in wake boats — exclusively. We don't run pontoons, party barges, or fishing boats. Our entire fleet is purpose-built wake boats — the Malibu 24MXZ, Tige Z3, and Moomba Mojo — machines designed to throw consistent, powerful wakes for wakesurfing. If wakesurfing or wake sports are part of your day, there's no better setup in the DFW area.

Every charter is captain-included. You don't need a boating license, experience on the water, or any idea what you're doing. Our captains handle the driving, safety, and navigation — and most of them can also coach beginners on how to get up on a board. You focus on having fun.

We cover the whole region. Most DFW boat rental companies operate on one or two lakes. Three Seas operates across North Texas and into Oklahoma — Lake Lewisville, Lake Grapevine, Lake Texoma, Possum Kingdom Lake, Broken Bow Lake, Lake Ray Roberts, Lake Murray, and more. If your group wants to make a day trip to a more scenic lake, we've done it before.

Everything is included. Wakesurf boards, tubes, floating island, fuel, and an experienced captain. No nickel-and-diming on gear. No surprise fuel charges at the end of the day. One rate, everything included.

We're local and we know the water. Our captains spend their free time on these lakes. They know which coves are glassy at what time of day, where the boat traffic clears up, and how to find the best stretch of water for your group's specific plans. That local knowledge makes the difference between a good day and a great one.

Our Wake Boat Fleet

Every boat in the Three Seas fleet is immaculately maintained and set up specifically for wakesurfing and wake sports. Here's what you're choosing from:

Malibu 24MXZThe Malibu 24MXZ is one of the most respected wake boats on the market — long, powerful, and capable of generating an enormous surf wave with the push of a button. It seats up to 12 guests comfortably with plenty of room to stretch out between runs. If your group is serious about wakesurfing, this is the boat.

Tige Z3The Tige Z3 is known for its exceptional wave quality and refined ride. Tige's proprietary TAPS 3T ballast system lets your captain dial in the exact wave shape your crew is looking for. A versatile boat that works brilliantly for both experienced surfers and beginners learning for the first time.

Moomba MojoThe Moomba Mojo punches well above its price point — a capable, fun wake boat that delivers a great wave and a lively day on the water. Great for smaller groups and groups with a mix of wakesurfers, tubers, and people who just want to cruise and float.

All three boats come fully equipped with wakesurf boards for all skill levels, towable tubes, and a large floating island.

Lakes We Serve — DFW and Beyond

Three Seas Charters operates on every major lake in the North Texas and Oklahoma region. Here's the full picture:

Lake Lewisville — 29,000 acres, 233 miles of shoreline, right on the doorstep of Frisco, The Colony, Lewisville, Flower Mound, and Little Elm. The closest large-water wakesurf destination for much of the northern DFW suburbs. Popular coves, multiple launch points, and one of the most active boating scenes in North Texas.

Lake Grapevine — 8,000 acres tucked between Grapevine, Southlake, Flower Mound, and Trophy Club. A more sheltered, family-friendly vibe than Lewisville with beautiful shoreline parks and some of the most scenic water in the DFW area. About 30 miles northwest of downtown Dallas.

Lake Texoma — 89,000 acres straddling the Texas-Oklahoma border, just 75 miles north of Dallas. One of the largest reservoirs in the United States and one of the best big-water wakesurf destinations in the region. Massive open water, dozens of islands and beaches, and far less crowding per acre than the DFW-adjacent lakes.

Possum Kingdom Lake — 17,000 acres of crystal-clear water surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs and canyon walls, about 90 miles west of Fort Worth. Home to the iconic Hell's Gate passage and some of the most spectacular wakesurf scenery in Texas. A perfect destination for groups making a weekend trip out of it.

Broken Bow Lake — 14,000 acres of mountain-fed, exceptionally clear water in the Ouachita Mountains of southeast Oklahoma, about 3.5 hours from DFW. A bucket-list wakesurf destination for groups willing to make the drive. Pair it with a cabin stay in Hochatown for a full weekend.

Additional lakes — We also operate on Lake Ray Roberts, Lake Murray (OK), Lake Ray Hubbard, and other North Texas and Oklahoma area lakes. Contact us and we'll confirm availability for any specific lake.

What's Included in Every Charter

Every Three Seas charter — regardless of which lake you choose — includes:

  • Premium wake boat (Malibu 24MXZ, Tige Z3, or Moomba Mojo — your choice based on group size and availability)
  • Experienced captain — handles the boat, safety, navigation, and coaching
  • Wakesurf boards for all skill levels
  • Towable tubes for the crew who want a different kind of thrill
  • Floating island — anchor up in a cove and spend the afternoon on the water
  • Fuel — fully included, no end-of-day charges

You bring: food, drinks, sunscreen, and your group. We handle everything else.

Who Books Three Seas Charters

Our customers are as varied as the lakes we operate on. Here's who we most often take out on the water:

Families — Our captains are safe, professional, and great with kids. The floating island and tubes keep younger guests entertained for hours, while adults take turns on the wakesurf board. No experience required for anyone in your group.

Birthday groups — A Three Seas charter is one of the best birthday experiences in DFW. Pick your lake, pick your crew (up to 10–12 guests), and let us build the day around your celebration.

Bachelorette and bachelor parties — We run more bachelorette charters than almost any other booking type. A full day on the lake with your closest people, BYOB-friendly, and a captain who keeps things moving — it's consistently one of the highest-rated experiences our customers have ever booked for a bachelorette.

Friend groups — Six to twelve friends who want a great day on the water without the hassle of owning a boat or figuring out logistics. We've got you.

Corporate and team outings — Looking for a team event that actually feels different? A half-day or full-day charter on Lake Lewisville or Lake Texoma is one of the most memorable corporate experiences in North Texas. Contact us for group pricing on larger bookings.

Visitors to DFW — If you're visiting Dallas-Fort Worth and want to spend a day on the water, we make it easy. We'll recommend the right lake based on where you're staying and what your group is looking for.

Choosing the Right Lake for Your Group

Not sure which lake is right for your plans? Here's a quick guide:

Closest to DFW suburbs → Lake Lewisville or Lake Grapevine. If you're in Frisco, Plano, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Southlake, Grapevine, or anywhere in the northern suburbs, these are your go-to options. Both are within 30–40 minutes of most of the northern metroplex.

Biggest water and most space → Lake Texoma. At 89,000 acres, Texoma has more room to spread out than any other lake we operate on. Great for groups who want wide-open water, beach stops, and an island-hopping day. About 75 miles north of Dallas.

Most dramatic scenery → Possum Kingdom Lake. The limestone cliffs, Hell's Gate, and crystal-clear water make PK Lake the most visually spectacular lake on our roster. Worth the 90-minute drive from Fort Worth for groups who want a truly memorable setting.

Best for a weekend trip → Broken Bow Lake. If your group is already planning a cabin weekend in southeast Oklahoma, Broken Bow is one of the most beautiful wakesurf destinations in the entire region. Mountain-fed, exceptionally clear, and genuinely unforgettable.

Not sure? Just call or text us at 469-400-4114. We help groups pick the right lake every day and we're happy to talk through your options.

Frequently Asked Questions — DFW Wake Boat Rentals

Do I need wakesurfing experience to book a charter?
No experience necessary — for anyone in your group. Our captains are patient coaches who can get first-timers up on a board within a session. If some of your group wants to surf and others just want to float and hang out, that's completely fine. The day is flexible around what everyone wants.

Do you provide a captain, or is this a self-drive rental?
Every Three Seas charter is fully captain-guided. We are not a self-drive rental service. Your captain handles the boat, safety, navigation, and can coach wakesurfing. All you need to do is show up.

How many people can come?
Up to 10–12 guests depending on which boat you select. Our Malibu 24MXZ accommodates the largest groups. Contact us and we'll match the right boat to your group size.

Which lakes do you operate on?
Lake Lewisville, Lake Grapevine, Lake Texoma, Possum Kingdom Lake, Broken Bow Lake, Lake Ray Roberts, Lake Murray, and most major DFW and Oklahoma area lakes. Contact us to confirm availability on a specific lake.

How far in advance should I book?
For summer weekends (Memorial Day through Labor Day), we recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks out — popular dates fill quickly. Spring and fall weekends have more flexibility, but earlier is always better. Weekday charters are typically easier to book on shorter notice.

What's the minimum charter length?
Charters are a minimum of 3 hours. Most groups book a half day (3–4 hours) or a full day (6–8 hours). We can discuss custom durations depending on your plans.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes — pack a cooler with whatever you want for the day. We're fully BYOB-friendly. Bring snacks, meals, drinks, and whatever makes your group happy on the water.

What's your cancellation and weather policy?
Full refund for cancellations at least one week in advance. 50% refund for cancellations at least 48 hours in advance. If your captain determines weather conditions are unsafe on the day of your charter, you'll receive a full refund.
