Launch point: We launch from the Beavers Bend Marina area, the primary hub for boating access on the lake. It's located within Beavers Bend State Park — when you're coordinating your booking, we'll confirm the exact meet-up location and any parking details.

Pro tip: Stock up on groceries and supplies in the town of Broken Bow before heading up to the lake — options in Hochatown are limited and pricier. Gas up in town too.

Broken Bow Lake is beautiful year-round, but for wakesurfing and water activities, here's what to expect by season:

Summer (June–August): Peak season. Warm water, long days, and full energy at the lake. Book as early as possible — weekends fill up fast, especially with cabin traffic from DFW and beyond.

Spring (April–May): Excellent conditions. Warm enough to surf comfortably, fewer crowds than summer, and the Ouachita Mountains are lush and green coming out of winter. One of the best times to go.

Fall (September–October): The fall foliage in the Ouachita Mountains is spectacular and Broken Bow is one of the best places in the region to see it from the water. Water is still warm through September. A great shoulder-season option.

Winter (November–March): Beautiful for a scenic cruise but too cold for most wakesurfing and water activities. Cabin season at its best.

Not at all. Our captains are patient, experienced coaches who can get first-timers up on a board and having fun quickly. If some of your group wants to surf and others just want to float and hang out, that works perfectly too.

How far is Broken Bow from DFW?

What's the cancellation policy?
Full refund for cancellations at least one week in advance. 50% refund for cancellations at least 48 hours in advance. Full refund if your captain determines weather conditions are unsafe on the day.

Can we bring food and drinks?
Absolutely. Bring a cooler with everything you need for the day. We're BYOB-friendly.
